"Apple needs this to be amazballs, not just an iPhone 5S"
Speculation online is heating up to a September 10th launch of the next iPhone, with most suspecting a simple refresh of the current iPhone 5,  simply called iPhone 5s. I don't see many people queuing up for a refresh of a phone a lot of people didnt get too excited about in the first place. I think people want more from Apple this time round, iPhone 6 please stand up.
"Big changes would be great to freshen up competition and choice"
Major update with bigger screen (wider please) possibly NFC (doubtful) and more likely ios7 running on it, would make a lot people happy. Apple's one and major revamp to software is coming ios7 is on its way, borrowing a lot from Android's os (I believe) folks will love  the changes, fresh, cool, modern are words I could use to describe the look and feel from demos I've watched. Layers of information floating over home screens and floating over your wallpaper. Hopefully you can see this is the pictures below.
"We look at quick settings"
Take a look above at ios7 above, quick settings and other features are quickly available by dragging notifications down, turn wifi on/off (not wife), bluetooth, airplay etc.
Not its the waiting game till September 10th launch to fond out. Hopefully Apple has some of that old magic up its sleeve...

"Helllooo Moto Indeed... "
1st August is here, or as they say in the states August 1st, Moto X has finally been unveiled in New York. I'm briefly gonna give you heads up on the major details.
"Customisation"
As you can see above there's rainbow jealous choice of colours and there's wooden effects too, in all there is over 2000 combinations of colours and material for back and front trim of your Moto X!!! Engraving also a possibility. At launch this customisation is exclusive to AT&T :-(
Other carriers I believe will have black and white simply.
"Sensor Crazy = Feature Crazy"
This smartphone is packed with sensors + features, one gives us full hands free voice control, simply say "OK Google Now" then ask it to call someone like John.
Another feature from sensors is waking the phone with pushing any buttons, simply back lifting it or turning it over. Also it can detect when your driving using gps to work out your speed, thus putting your Moto X into Car Mode. One final feature I'll mention is twist your wrist twice quickly, instantly opens camera, I've watched a video of this in action, it's quicky quick.
"Heavenly Hardware"
I say heavenly hardware, simply because with the software and features implemented, it a match made in heav... you know what I mean. I'll not bore with spec details, simply there's a few processors in there working as a team to make the battery last longer than ever. Clear pixel camera that should take the best night out pictures ever (low light) + slow mo mode video.
"Conclusion"
To wrap it all up,  I think the complete package of choice, new exciting features and innovative hardware like the clear pixel camera + battery life (thanks to processors) makes it a serious contender to consider.

No news on UK release but it starts from $199 on contract in the US.

"Future tariffs will be boring but simple"
The days of friends competing over who has the best deal, comparing how many minutes, free texts + data allowance, I predict, will end soon. We are entering, if not all ready entered, the data age for mobiles. With apps like BBM, Facebook Messenger, Google Hangouts, Skype and What's app etc we can make calls, send text + picture messages and do video calls, simply by using some data. Using no minutes or no texts from your allowance, or charges to your bill for video calls or picture messages. I know personally my text and call usage is now at an all time low, where as I use Facebook messenger and Google hangouts more than ever. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I think in the future, tariffs will be boring yet simple. 1GB, 2GB or 3Gb data with your smartyphone, will keep us super social via all these apps mentioned above + more...

Picture
Ever since last week when Chromecast was launched in California, I've been amazed and confused by it, what is Chromecast?

Many people think it's a tv revolution, others doesn't see what the fuss is about, about this 2inch gizmo that connects to your telly box for only $35 (£30 fingers crossed UK)

I believe I know what the best way to describe it, here goes it's simply a media streamer. Do you mean like Roku, Boxee, Apple TV your probably thinking, not quite. Chromecast comes with no fancy UI + NO REMOTE!!

Now wait a second don't panic this is where it gets cool, your Android phone or tablet, even iPhone or iPad will be your controller. Simply open a compatible Chromecast app e.g. Netflix, choose your show or movie, push Chromecast button in app and your telly's iq quadruples in matter of seconds to stream your content.

Other apps available are youtube, Google play movies and very soon Pandora, with many more in future.

Unfortunately I'm in UK and not had a chance to play with one, however my advice is grab one of these bargain dongles, if and most importantly you have minimum 5mb broadband connection and very good wifi signal near your tv
